The Bacolod City Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) recorded a two percent increase in business registration this year.
A record from the BPLO showed that there were 527 additional business registrations.
In 2021, the office recorded 22,267 business renewals and new registrations, while there were 22,795 in 2022.
Stella Rose Rayos, BPLO head, said the increase shows that businesses in the city are gradually recovering.
She expects that this will continue next year, especially with the implementation of online business registration.
Rayos added that business permit renewals for next year are still being accepted at their office on the ground floor of the government center./WDJ
