An executive of a local power cooperative was shot dead by still unidentified individuals inside his vehicle on 16th Lacson Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 7, early yesterday morning.
Police identified the fatality as Atty. Danny Pondevilla, the general manager of the North Negros Electric Cooperative.
Pondevilla was also the former general manager of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative.
Police Station 2 commander, Lt. Jonito Pastrana said Pondevilla was inside his parked vehicle in front of a food establishment when the gunman approached and shot him in the back of his head.
An empty .45 caliber shell and a bullet slug were recovered at the crime scene.
His remains will also undergo post-mortem examination.
Bacolod City Police Office Director, Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir said they have two persons of interest in the executive’s murder.
Martir has also ordered the creation of a Special Investigation Task Group to probe the murder./DGB, WDJ
