A 37-year-old man was dead on-the-spot after he allegedly played with a .38 caliber revolver at Barangay Poblacion in Negros Occidental’s Cauayan town on Sunday night, December 4.

Police identified the fatality as Jeemo Redimo, a resident of Purok 5 in the said village.

According to police, a witness told them that Redimo and another man, identified as Benjie Chavez, were having a drinking session when the victim pulled Chavez’s .38 caliber revolver.

The victim then pointed the firearm at his head and pulled the trigger.

Redimo was killed, while Chavez took the gun and attempted to hide it.

Chavez is currently under custody and will be subjected to a paraffin test./DGB, WDJ
