Negros Occidental has the highest number of arrested individuals in the region with 2,516, based on data from Police Regional Office (PRO) in Western Visayas (WV).

Bacolod City has the second highest number with 926, and Iloilo province with 646.

Records showed that from January to November, PRO-6 conducted a total of 5,862 operations, and arrested 6,239 wanted persons, including 1,010 who belonged to the top 10, and 5,229 with lesser offenses.

“That’s why marami tayong huli, kasi kapag nahuli natin ang mga wanted a big contribution sa ating peace and order and that’s our goal,” PRO-6 director Brigadier General Leo Francisco said.

As much as possible, Francisco said, they are targeting wanted individuals who belong in the top 10.

“I reminded my men not to stop monitoring of the whereabouts who have an arrest warrant at hulihin agad para hindi na makagawa ng krimen,” he said./WDJ
