The proposed Victorias City General Hospital was approved on the committee level by the House Committee on Health last Tuesday, November 29.

The establishment of the hospital will provide the city’s residents and the other residents in the congressional district with wider healthcare access.

House Bill No. 1239 seeks the establishment of the hospital which would enhance the city’s capacity to address the healthcare needs of its growing population.

Under the proposed bill, the city government shall provide funding for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the hospital, and the amount of P500 million will be appropriated for the implementation of the act which shall be included and funded under the 2023 General Appropriations./DGB, WDJ
