Siblings nabbed with P13.7-M ‘shabu’ in Silay

Two sisters were arrested following an anti-drug operation by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit in Western Visayas (RDEU-6) in Barangay Lantad, Silay City, Negros Occidental yesterday morning.

Police identified the arrested as 30-year-old Angie and 25-year-old Angielyn Dumdumaya, both residents of the said place.

Based on the information released by Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), the siblings were arrested at around 10:30 a.m. after they sold a suspected shabu worth P30,000 to a police poseur buyer.

Police confiscated a total of two kilos of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P13.7 million.

It further noted that the two have been placed under surveillance for quite some time.
The suspects are facing charges related to Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
