A truck was damaged after it caught fire while parked along San Juan Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 on Saturday, January 29.

Based on information provided by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Bacolod, at around 7:26 p.m. they received a call from a concerned resident informing them that an Isuzu Elf 250 truck in their area was on fire.

Firefighters responded within minutes of the call and by 7:31 p.m. a “fire out” was declared.

Fire Officer 2 Ronel Ivan Labansauan, arson investigator, said the fire originated at the front dashboard of the vehicle owned by 55-year-old Jonathan Dula.

Estimated cost of the damage to the truck was pegged at P2,000./DGB, WDJ
