Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said he will bar the entry of minors at the Provincial Capitol Park and Lagoon starting today, January 7.

“This is to send a message to the parents that minors should again stay at home, that’s why I decided to close the lagoon for minors,” Lacson said.

Lacson said he is saddened by the decision because he can already see that the kids are enjoying and running at the lagoon.

“But the message is clear: we have to be vigilant against COVID-19 especially the kids,” Lacson pointed out.

The Capitol Park and Lagoon was reopened to people of all ages last December 13 after more than a year of closure due to COVID-19./DGB, WDJ
