The Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City, Negros Occidental announced over the weekend that they will be limiting the acceptance of patients as the hospital was damaged by Typhoon “Odette.”

In an advisory signed by Dr. Mary Ann Maestral, chief of hospital for TLJPH, the hospital’s outpatient department will be closed until further notice.

Maestral said the triage area was completely devastated, limiting their capacity to accept new patients.

Because of this, she said they will temporarily limit the acceptance of patients to emergency cases only while repairs are being conducted.

The hospital will also only accept “stat” request for radiologic examinations until the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) restores and stabilizes the power supply.

The hospital’s COVID-19 vaccination will also resume on Monday, the same day the rescheduled second round of the National Vaccination Days begins./DGB, WDJ
