The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has deployed 82 additional personnel at the Kabankalan City Police Station yesterday morning.

NOCPPO director, Police Colonel Romy Palgue, said the deployment aims to further augment the ongoing search and rescue operations, as well as to beef up security in the city following super typhoon “Odette.”

The personnel consist of 32 from NOCPPO’s Civil Disturbance Management and 50 personnel assigned for security, and search and rescue operations.

As for the equipment, Palgue said they have reassigned five patrol cars and one of NOCPPO’s trucks in order to boost the police station’s logistical capabilities.

The NOCPPO director also assured the city’s residents and other nearby affected areas that they will do their best to ensure the safety and security of the residents to help them recover from the devastation./DGB, WDJ
