The Negros Occidental Capitol Park Lagoon in Bacolod City is now open for all ages effective yesterday, after nearly two years of closure and limited operations.
This is contained in an executive order issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said the park is open from 4:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. which is also in line with the curfew hours being observed in the provincial government.
Diaz said the park is open to everyone and that a vaccination card is not required for recreation or exercise purposes.
The 70 percent occupancy will also be observed at the lagoon.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the lagoon has been closed.
A lights on ceremony was also held last night at the Provincial Capitol Building and the lagoon during the celebration of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson’s birthday.
Lacson said the Christmas season has officially started at the capitol./DGB, WDJ
