The employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government are expecting that Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will announce the amount of additional bonuses they will receive on his birthday on Saturday, December 11.

Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) president Renelo Lastierre said yesterday that they have recommended to the governor four probable sources of these benefits and these are the Collective Negotiation Incentive bonus which is a maximum of P25,000; Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI); Incentive Benefits for Exemplary Services (IBES); and Service Recognition Incentive (SRI).

Lastierre, however, said the amount to be given under PEI, IBES and SRI will be determined by Lacson.

“We expect the additional bonus will be the maximum allowed by law,” he added.

Earlier, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said the additional bonus for the more than 3,000 capitol employees will be more than the P40,000 given last year.

Lastierre had assured them that the provincial government has sufficient funds for the bonus.

“We hope it will be released before Christmas on December 25,” he added./DGB, WDJ
