Five Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) personnel were awarded during the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony yesterday morning at the PRO-6 Grandstand, Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.
The Regional Highway Patrol Unit 6 (RHPU-6) hosted the said ceremony with Police Colonel Orlando Gardiola Jr., RHPU-6 regional chief, as guest of honor and speaker.
Gardiola pinned the medals to the awardees as reward and recognition for their outstanding performance in the police service.
Police Major Ciriaco Esquilarga, Police Lieutenant Jiesse Lepaña and Police Staff Sergeant Garry Peronilla, members of Pototan Municipal Police Station, were recipients of Medalya ng Papuri for the successful arrest of a wanted person for the crime of murder.
The same award was received by Police Executive Master Sergeant Zalde Tonel and Police Master Sergeant John Cris Nalangan of Numancia Municipal Station for the successful arrest of wanted person for a crime of rape.
In his message Gardiola, congratulated the awardees and shared insights about being a law enforcer and at the same a practicing agriculturist. He encouraged everyone to appreciate the essence of being a planter/farmer in this time of pandemic as it can greatly help to augment family income.
