Negros Occidental on Monday topped the first day of the three-day national vaccination drive dubbed as “Bayanihan Bakunahan” based on data released by the Department of Health in Western Visayas (DOH-6).
Data from DOH-6 released at 9:00 p.m. of November 29 showed that 68,249 residents in Negros Occidental received the first dose, 2,396 received the second dose, and 18 individuals received the booster shot, with the total number of jabs administered at 70,663.
Bago City topped in the list with 6,242 jabs administered; followed by Cadiz City with 6,083.
The local government units which had administered the lowest number of jabs were the town of Manapla with only 139 jabs, followed by the town of San Enrique with 436 jabs, and the town of Candoni with 696.
Previously, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson only set a target of 31,000 individuals per day during the three-day vaccination drive./DGB, WDJ
