TNT stays hot, goes 2-0 in PBA 3×3 2nd leg

TNT Tropang Giga continued its hot streak with a 2-0 start in the second leg of PBA 3×3 basketball yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Tropang Giga, the leg 1 champions, opened their campaign with a come-from-behind 21-18 victory over Zamboanga Valientes. Almond Vosotros top-scored with 13 points for TNT.

The Tropang Giga also bucked a slow start before beating Sista Super Sealers, 21-17, in the second game. Jeremiah Gray made the clutch baskets for TNT to finish with five points and six rebounds.

Meralco Bolts, meanwhile, kicked off its second leg campaign with a close 21-19 win over Limitless Appmasters. Bacolodnon Tonino Gonzaga and Joseph Sedurifa had seven each for the Bolts.

Bolts, the Leg 1 runner ups, however, failed to hang on to its lead in the second game to suffer a 17-14 loss to Terrafirma Dyip. Dhon Reverente and Roider Cabrera carried the load for the Dyip in the endgame.

The Super Sealers also notched its first PBA 3×3 victory after going win-less in the first leg with a 22-16 triumph over CAVITEX Braves. Kenneth Mocon waxed hot from outside to finish with 11 points.

The Braves, for its part, recovered from its loss to the Super Sealers with a 21-8 victory over Valientes. Amiel Cris Soberano ignited the CAVITEX offense with 11 points.

Pioneer Epoxy, meanwhile, battled back from a five-point deficit to score a 21-20 upset over Purefoods TJ Titans. Robin Roño was the hero for Pioneer with his game-winning layup./ASC, WDJ
