Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo will assume command of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) today.

He replaces Police Brigadier General Rolando Miranda who will be retiring this month.
Before being assigned to the Western Visayas police, Dongbo headed the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group of the Philippine National Police.
Dongbo and Miranda were classmates and both graduates of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1990.
Dongbo was also formerly assigned in Bacolod City Police Office.
Meanwhile, Miranda will be retiring on November 16 during his 56th birthday.
He assumed office on December 1, 2020, replacing Police Brigadier Rene Pamuspusan.
During his stint, Miranda maintained the peace and order in the whole Western Visayas and handled everything during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Maba-it naman ang classmate ko at masipag rin. I hope that the men and women of PRO-6 will also support him as what they did to me. He is not new here because he was once assigned in Bacolod City so, I know he will be more effective,” Miranda said of Dongbo.
The outgoing PRO-6 chief added that he is thankful to Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, all local government units, stakeholders and the media for supporting him in his more than one year of staying in Western Visayas.
“Maraming salamat po sa lahat na tumulong sa akin at suporta,” Miranda said./WDJ
