A councilor of Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental is facing rape charges and can no longer be located by police who were trying to serve his arrest warrant

Moises Padilla police chief, Police Major Randy Babor, said they served the warrant of arrest to Councilor Fred Villaflor Bangcaya alias “Dimpol,” 45, on Tuesday last week but he could not be located.
The councilor reportedly filed an indefinite leave from the Sangguniang Bayan.

“The councilor is facing five counts of rape,” Babor said.

Acting Presiding Judge Eric Anthony Ateniao Dumpilo of the Guihulngan, Negros Oriental Regional Trial Court – Branch 64 issued the warrant of arrest on October 15.

The case is a non-bailable offense.

Police said an 18-year-old grade 11 student in her complaint claimed she was raped multiple times from January to April this year.

Members of local media have already tried to reach out to Bangcaya for comment but he has yet to respond over the accusations./DGB, WDJ
