Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Colonel Joseph Thomas Martir, has ordered Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Lt. Paul Vincent Pendon, to prioritize solving the murder of Barangay 2 tanod Michael Hugo.

According to Martir, he personally went to PS2 to conduct a case conference as well as to know the developments in the ongoing investigation on Hugo’s slay.

PS2, meanwhile, already reported that they have several persons of interest in the case and they are trying to look for witnesses in order for the filing of charges to take place.

They also reported that the murder could be “job-related” as Hugo was actively supporting the local police’s anti-illegal drugs drive.

Last Friday, October 22, Hugo was shot dead as he was driving his tricycle along 13th Lacson Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 7.

Prior to the shooting, Hugo picked up two passengers in the city’s Barangay Banago and police believe one of the passengers may have been the shooter./DGB, WDJ
