The Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) in Negros Occidental is set to conduct a voter education program today in preparation for the 2022 National and Local Elections.

The event will start at 9:00 a.m. and is aimed to teach voters how to choose the right leader for the country.

Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno is expected to be the guest speaker for the event.

In an interview with a local radio outlet, Dr. Elmer Gumban, head of the local NSTP program, said the event is open not just to CHMSC students but also to other state colleges and universities, especially those who will vote for the first time.

Also cooperating for the event will be the Technological University of the Philippines Visayas, and the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology.

Those who want to join the online event can visit the official social media page of the CHMSC, the CHMSC-NSTP and the CHMSC Student Affairs and Services./DGB, WDJ
