Teacher murdered, robbed in Cadiz

A 28-year-old teacher was brutally murdered and robbed inside her own home located at Sitio Canipa-an, Barangay Banquerohan in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, October 6.

Police are presently looking for Delleon Del Rosario, the suspect in the murder of 28-year-old teacher Jessica Ducay last Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Police identified the victim as Jessica Ducay, a senior high school teacher at Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School.

Based on Cadiz City police’s initial investigation, the suspect, identified as Delleon Del Rosario, allegedly charged and forcibly entered the victim’s home.

The suspect then proceeded to strike and stab Ducay multiple times, resulting to the victim’s instantaneous death.

Del Rosario also carted away the victim’s money amounting to P79,000.

Police are presently conducting a manhunt operation against Delleon Del Rosario and have also released his picture in public to help them in the ongoing search./DGB, WDJ
