Now that everyone is on the move, it is about time that we go back to a semi-normal life, not forgetting of course the health and safety protocols that need to be adhered to for everyone’s safety.

It is sad that during the pandemic season we became strangers to each other with almost everyone just staying in their respective homes, just eating, sleeping, reading, watching television, glued on Facebook and Instagram and chatting, and taking selfies.

Now that everyone is on the move, it is about time that we go back to a semi-normal life, not forgetting of course the health and safety protocols that need to be adhered to for everyone’s safety. Wearing of face mask, many believe, is something worth the habit as it could make one safer than not wearing one. Donning the face shield, on the other side of the coin, is something as an added accessory, many believe.

Regular washing or sanitizing of hands is another good practice even without the pandemic. The hands are the dirtiest part of our body, not the butt. Keeping off distance from the rest, many believe, is something worth doing, too.

But with all these that we have to follow for health’s sake, it is about time that we must move on and not panic over virus stories. Many are in a quandary how the health department of this kenkoy country called the Philippines could get an accurate data on daily basis of the “positive count” affected or suspected with COVID. Does it follow that if the test shows you are “positive,” you are infected with the COVID virus? Many are asking for a sincere and honest answer.

Can we please allow all the cyclists to do their biking along safe roads and highways? No biker could ride in less than a meter away from each other. Besides that, bikers do their thing under the sun and the sun gives vigor to the bikers’ health, right? How about volleyball and basketball, taekwondo and arnis, boxing and swimming? Of course there should be control on the attendance of viewers, many agree and insist. But to keep everyone in their homes is something many refuse to accept.

Kudos to the sports office of the provincial government of Negros Occidental for starting to do sports activities. Sports is healthy. And many are asking why health authorities of this kenkoy country do not recommend that Filipinos take vitamins. Why? One elder even commented, “My doctor never prescribed to me to take vitamins and even drink more water daily. I am confused.”

Let us go back to sports. Let us go back to jogging and brisk walking. The sun gives life, right? Why are medical people not recommending that people go under the sun even for a while? Your guess is as good as mine. The most important now is let us lead an active life and not get paranoid of this virus.
