According to Permits and Licensing Office head Stela Rayos, who chairs the Safety Seal Committee, more business establishments are scheduled to be awarded with the same certificate soon.

As per online verification/calibration and on-site validation of the Inspection and Certification Team of the Safety Seal Committee, 52 of the 237 business establishments applying for the Safety Seal certificate have so far passed the validation.

Of the 52 passers, 28 have been awarded with the certificates last September 30 and October 1.

But Rayos clarified that the other companies, which have defects/deficiencies in their documents, can re-apply until they fully comply with the requirements.

For online application, visit the Facebook page of the Bacolod Permits and Licensing Office via “Bacolod Permits.”

Rayos stressed that only business establishments with valid Mayor’s Permits (2021) are eligible to apply for a certificate of Safety Seal.

Those awarded with a Safety Seal certificate shall be allowed an additional 10% beyond the prescribed on-site capacity, as per IATF Resolution No. 127-A series of 2021./WDJ
