Punong barangay Yolanda Noble said the youth center is the first for the whole of Bacolod City and the program was initiated by their Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

The center has 13 computer units which can be used by the local village’s students, who do not have access to the internet, with their research works and studies.

Noble described the center as an “online library.”

Each student will be given one hour and 30 minutes when using the computer units, which is equivalent to the normal school hours for students at present.

Noble especially thanked their SK council for the project as she noted that a lot of students in the barangay will definitely benefit from it.

Meanwhile, the barangay also held a bloodletting activity yesterday morning, in cooperation with the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Noble said the activity is held three times a year in the barangay, and the next activity will be at the end of January 2022./DGB, WDJ
