The Department of Education (DepEd) in Negros Occidental noted an increase in the number of enrollees as the blended learning for public schools opened yesterday morning for school year 2021 to 2022.

Negros Occidental Schools Division spokesperson Ian Arnold Arnaiz said about 79 percent already of last year’s 353,000 total enrollees for public elementary and high schools under the division have already enrolled this school year.
He said although the enrolment is supposed to be until yesterday only, DepEd has given an extension until the end of this month for enrollees.
Arnaiz also revealed that there are some schools in the province like Victorias City National High School and Binalbagan National High School that have suspended the releasing of modules for disinfection because of some reported cases of COVID-19.
In general, Arnaiz said the school opening yesterday was very organized.
