The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City said it has limited its admissions of non-COVID-19 cases due to the near full capacity of its allocated beds.
The affected hospital departments are the Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology and Department of Pediatrics.
The three affected departments will cater to patients limited to extreme emergency cases.
It also said that CLMMRH has ongoing renovations in its COVID wards to ensure the safety of all patients and staff.
“The hospital has reached its maximum capacity on the isolation beds for COVID-19 patients as well as the Critical Care Unit beds,” the advisory said.
The Emergency Department has also reached full capacity on the allocated hospital beds for COVID-19 patients.
On Monday, the Department of Health raised Negros Occidental’s COVID-19 alert level to three although its risk classification remains at moderate.
The COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental hit 1,193 on Monday, the Provincial Incident Management Team reported.
On the other hand, Bacolod City remains a high risk area for COVID-19 and is under alert level 3 as of Monday, September 6.
Bacolod City had 77 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the total active cases to 1,117./DGB, WDJ
