NegOcc, Bacolod remain under COVID Alert Level 3

Negros Occidental and its capital Bacolod City remain under Alert Level 3 as far as severity of coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, incidence is concerned, based on the new data released by the Department of Health (DOH) in Western Visayas.

DOH-6 also said they have noticed an increase in the average daily attack rate (ADAR) for both the province and the city.

Negros Occidental’s ADAR rose to 2.73 percent compared to last week’s 1.90 percent, while Bacolod City’s ADAR is currently at 8.55 percent compared to 7.82 percent last week.

The province’s risk classification also currently remains as “moderate risk,” while Bacolod City is still a “high risk” area for COVID-19.

However, overall healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) remains at “low risk” for both areas with Negros Occidental’s HCUR at 51.82 percent, while Bacolod City is at 44.58 percent.

Meanwhile, DOH-6 recorded 766 additional COVID-19 cases yesterday, of which 123 were from Negros Occidental and 77 from Bacolod City.
