A 39-year-old resident of Barangay Kumaliskis in Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB), Negros Occidental was shot at Purok Logdeck in the town’s Barangay Igmayaan around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17.

Police said Alex Sugdon sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body. He was recuperating at a hospital in Bacolod City.

Don Salvador Benedicto police investigation revealed that Sugdon was driving a motorcycle with a backrider when the suspects alighted from a sports utility vehicle and fired at the victim.

Police recovered six empty shells of a .45 caliber gun at the crime scene.

As of this writing, officers of the Don Salvador Benedicto Police Station have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in the incident./WDJ
