IMT-6 starts monitoring vaccine rollout in NegOcc, Bacolod

The Incident Management Team-Western Visayas (IMT-6) recently arrived in Negros Occidental to monitor the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines in the province, including Bacolod City.

Aletha Nogra, EOC Manager; Radny Pabon, Incident Commander; Ferdinand Turbanos, Logistics Section Chief; and Hernani Lopez, Deputy Operations Sections Chief, at the Governor’s Office on Wednesday morning, and discussed about the progress of COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the province and the updated travel and health protocols. Dr. Zeaphard Caelian, head of the Negros Occidental Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT), said the team from the IMT-6 paid a courtesy visit to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson following their arrival on Wednesday morning, July 7.

Caelian said the IMT-6 team will visit the different vaccination centers in the province and in Bacolod City in order to observe the current practices being implemented in the vaccine rollout.

The PIMT head further added any concerns of the province with regards to ongoing vaccine rollout will be answered, thanks to the IMT regional office’s presence.

He further stated the visiting IMT-6 personnel are also due to submit a report before the regional and national inter-agency task forces regarding the status of the vaccine rollout./DGB, WDJ
