A 22-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly snatched the bag of a woman in Bacolod City’s Barangay 7 around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5.

Police identified the suspect as Allan Antiquera, a resident of the city’s Barangay Mansilingan. He was detained at the Police Station 2.

Police investigation showed that Antiquera grabbed the bag of Tiffany Myrrh Casipong of Barangay 7, which contained a cell phone worth P50,000; charger; headset; umbrella; and a wallet with P185 cash and ATM cards.

Antiquera ran away but security guard Ronald Condino Jr., who witnessed the incident, chased and eventually caught him.

The suspect also yielded a 7-inch knife, police said./WDJ
