Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. opened its newest supermarket in the southernmost part of Bacolod City on Friday, June 11.
The Metro Sum-ag Supermarket is the third Metro store to open in Negros Occidental and the 58th overall for the top retailer. Located along Araneta Street (National Highway) in Barangay Sum-ag, considered to be the Southern Gateway of Bacolod, the supermarket will cater to the needs of the residents in the area as well as those coming from the southern cities of Bago and La Carlota and towns of Pulupandan, Valladolid and San Enrique.
The Metro Supermarket Sum-ag has a floor area of 3,121 square meters and promises to offer an extensive line of fresh, quality and great value produce to the local community along with frozen food, breakfast, pantry fillers, snacks and beverage delights, body and home care essentials, and international products.
The stand-alone supermarket will also feature the Metro pharmacy, a variety of food tenants and ample parking of up to 65 slots. The opening of Metro Sum-ag will also create over 100 new jobs for the community.
Metro Supermarket Sum-ag is celebrating its opening with a 10-day Grand Opening Sale from June 11 to 20. Greats deals and big savings await all shoppers. There will be Buy One Take One, Bundle Offers, discounts and freebies from participating brands.
The Metro Rewards Card or MRC cardholders, the store’s loyalty club, will receive a gift for a minimum purchase of P2,000 (choice of 1 Liter Saver’s Select Dishwashing Liquid or 1 Kilo of Rice); P3,000 (2 Kilos of Rice or 1 Liter West Coast Vegetable Oil).
From June 11 onwards, Metro Supermarket Sum-ag will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
For the safety of all its customers, Metro adheres to stringent health protocols and requires shoppers to wear face mask and face shield, and observe social distancing while inside the store.
