Police arrested a 54-year-old man facing rape charges at Purok Matinahuron, Sitio Tagnipis located in Barangay Taba-ao in Negros Occidental’s Sagay City around 12:40 p.m. yesterday.

Ronaldo Bordios alias “Pikit” was caught by officers of the Sagay City Police Station led by Police Lt. Col. Albert H. Sy through the strength of an arrest warrant for three counts of rape issued by Judge Renato D. Munez of the Regional Trail Court – Branch 60 in Cadiz City dated August 4, 2014.

Police report revealed that the incident happened sometime in 2008 at a sugarcane plantation near the victim’s residence.

The suspect blocked the victim thrice while she was on her way home from school and he threatened to kill the victim should she tell anyone about the incident, police said.

Bordios was detained at the Sagay City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
