Over 244K under priority group A in WV get COVID jabs

A total of 244,623 individuals under priority group A in Western Visayas (WV) got their first dose of COVID-19 vaccines as of June 5.

Based on the prioritization framework of the Department of Health (DOH), priority group A include healthcare or medical frontliners (A1), senior citizens (A2) and persons with comorbidities (A3).

The figure comprises 92.44 percent consumption rate out of 264,620 total vaccine allocation received by the region.

According to Dr. Bea Camille Fillaro-Natalaray, medical officer IV of the DOH-6, the region received 137,420 Sinovac vaccine allocations, of which 92.44 percent or 123,640 were consumed.

For AstraZeneca vaccine, the region received 127,200 vaccine allocation, and 89.93 percent or 120,983 of these were consumed.

 

SECOND DOSE

Meanwhile, a total of 71,548 individuals in the region already completed their vaccination.

DOH-6 data showed that 67,421 or 49.06 percent of the 137,420 allocated Sinovac doses were used while 4,127 doses or 41.27 percent of AstraZeneca vaccine have been consumed out of 10,000 allocated doses.

DOH-6 has so far masterlisted a total of 1,386,185 under priority group A.

For A1 group, 90,075 or 69.94 percent of 130,066 masterlisted were vaccinated. For A2 group, 10.60 percent or 83,754 of the 788,846 masterlisted got inoculated while for A3 group, 66,025 or 49.88 percent of the 132,363 masterlisted got inoculated./WDJ
