Police arrested a suspected carnapper around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at Purok Punta Cruz, Barangay Poblacion in Negros Occidental’s Toboso town.
The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Rolan Agsoy Patrata, a resident of Bacolod City.
Patrata was caught by joint operatives of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 6 led by Police Colonel Winston M. De Belen, Toboso Police Station led by Police Captain Kenneth P. Magan and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Negros Occidental through the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 10883 (Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) issued by Judge Suelynn T. Lowil-Jolingan of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 53 in Bacolod City dated April 22, 2021.
The suspect was detained at the Toboso Police Station for proper disposition./WDJ
