Police arrested a man wanted for a murder charge around 12:30 p.m. last Monday at Buenavista Subdivision, Barangay Guinhalaran in Silay City, Negros Occidental

Victorias City police identified the suspect as 48-year-old Andresito Magbanua, a resident of Hacienda Paquita 1 in the city’s Barangay 20. He is the No. 5 most wanted person of the city.

Magbanua was nabbed through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Dyna Doll Chionson-Trocio of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 40 in Silay City dated April 19, 2021.

Police reports showed that Magbanua was one of the five suspects who stabbed and shot to death the victim inside the sugarcane plantation in the city’s Barangay 20 in November 2013.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of the Victorias City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
