Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and Rep. Greg Gasataya led the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) distribution of financial assistance to the fire victims of Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City.

The distribution rites are held at the evacuation center at the Jose R. Torres Elementary School. But the affected families are now staying inside the classrooms, instead of in the tents at the covered court, to avoid transmission of the virus.
Families whose houses were totally damaged received P10,000 in financial assistance, while those with partially damaged houses got P5,000. Sharers residing in damaged houses will receive P3,000.
A total of 55 houses in Purok Neptune were razed by fire last Monday, April 26. Residing in these houses were 61 families or 235 individuals.
Of the 61 families, 46 have totally damaged houses, 10 have partially damaged houses, with five sharers.
Joining the mayor and the vice mayor in the distribution rites are city councilors Renecito Novero, Simple Distrito and Al Victor Espino; City Administrator Em Ang; Barangay Singcang-Airport Captain Rosinie Distrito and other barangay officials; Sally Abelarde of DSSD; and other social workers./WDJ
