Police apprehended two persons while another one escaped in a drug sting operation in Barangay Bayoyan, Estancia, Iloilo yesterday.

Estancia police identified the arrested as 29-year-old Almar Antone of the said village and 31-year-old Ivan Buenaflor of the town’s Daan Banwa.

Michael Dan Andeza of Barangay Bayoyan, meanwhile, managed to escape.

Antone and Buenaflor were caught after they allegedly sold one big sachet of suspected shabu worth P17,500 to an undercover officer.

Police confiscated five more big sachets and 11 small sachets of suspected shabu with a total street value of P238,000.

Antone and Buenaflor were detained at the Estancia Police Station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them, including Andeza./WDJ
