Negros Occidental had already opened its borders last Monday but Hinoba-an Mayor Ernesto Estrao revealed that the town’s border control point located in between the town’s Barangay Sangke and Barangay Bongalonan in Basay, Negros Oriental remained in operation.
In a phone patch interview with members of the local media, Estrao explained the border control point is still in compliance with the executive order signed by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson which introduced uniform travel protocols in the province.
Estrao said individuals originating from Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental can still enter the town, although they will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test, as well as the registration from the S-Pass System and StaySafe.PH app.
Meanwhile, Estrao said that the other border control point which is located in Barangay Talacagay, bordering Sipalay City, had already been lifted.
