Provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, yesterday extended an invitation to all 31 mayors in Negros Occidental to attend the COVID-19 vaccination simulation exercise (simex) which will be held at the Cansilayan National High School in Murcia town tomorrow.

Diaz said everything is now in place for the simex, and both Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer will also be present to observe the event.

The town of Murcia was chosen specifically by the provincial government for the COVID-19 vaccination simex as it is located at the center of the province, making it easier for all of the representatives of various local government units (LGUs) to access and observe the event.

Previously, the town of Candoni was chosen because it is the furthest LGU of the province.

To recall, the provincial government has already ordered 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines which would be distributed to capitol-run hospitals, although there is still no information as to when they would be delivered./DGB, WDJ
