A widower was shot dead by an unidentified suspect late Tuesday afternoon along Freedom Boulevard in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as 45-year-old Ronaldo Suating, a resident of the city’s Employee Village.

Based on a report from Silay City police, Suating was having a snack at his girlfriend’s house when he was suddenly shot by a unidentified motorcycle-riding gunman.

The suspect immediately fled, while Suating was declared dead-on-the-spot.

Police are currently investigating the motive to the shooting./DGB, WDJ
