A 29-year-old man was arrested following a buy-bust operation around 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, in Negros Occidental’s Hinigaran town.

Authorities identified the suspect as Abnell Suanque, a resident of the town’s Barangay 1 Poblacion.

Hinigaran Police Station OIC police chief, Police Major Jake Barila, said Suanque yielded five sachets of suspected shabu including the buy-bust item, P500 in buy-bust money and P200 cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drugs.

The suspect was detained at the Hinigaran Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
