The 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Marker was presented by the City Planning & Development Coordinator’s Office (CPDCO) staff headed by Engr. Magnolia B. Antonio, CPD Coordinator to San Carlos City officials last Monday morning.

Antonio said that this is the fifth year the city has won the prestigious award.

She added that there was no evaluation for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but this 2021 they were advised that there will be an evaluation on SGLG with an additional two pillars: Youth Development and Education and Heritage Conservation in addition to Tourism Culture and Arts.

The city also received a P3.5 million incentive as a Performance Challenge Fund to finance projects.
