Five individuals were arrested for illegal gambling at Barangay Jelicuon Montinola in Iloilo province’s Cabatuan town around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Cabatuan police identified the five as Cleofe Camba, 54; Rovie dela Pena, 23; Elizabeth Ducasi, 49; Emily Yniego, 31; and Elvira Ducasi, 71, all residents of the said village.

Police said they were arrested through the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 issued by Judge Carmela Mae Mallada-Tunguia of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court.

The court recommended P30,000 bail bond for each suspect./WDJ
