Negros Occidental was among the 10 richest provinces in the Philippines, according to the Commission on Audit’s (COA) 2019 Annual Financial Report on Local Government Units released on Thursday, January 14.
Based on COA’s report, Negros Occidental made it to No. 7 in the list, with assets reaching to P15.901 billion.
Iloilo province, meanwhile, had assets valued at P13.034 billion, making it No. 10 in the list.
The province of Cebu remained the richest province, with assets valued at P203.9 billion.
