49 Bacolod brgys now COVID-free

Of the 61 barangays in Bacolod City, 49 are now considered free from coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19.

According to the city’s Emergency Operations Center, the said barangays have not recorded any coronavirus infections for two weeks, or from December 25, 2020 to January 7, 2021.

These barangays are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, Alangilan, Alijis, Cabug, Felisa, Granada, Handumanan, Punta Taytay, Singcang-Airport, Sum-ag, and Villamonte.

As of Thursday, January 7, Bacolod City recorded a total of 5,620 COVID-19 cases, of which only 73 are active.

The city also logged 5,369 who have completely recuperated from the viral disease.

The death toll, meanwhile, stood at 178, with zero new fatalities on Thursday./WDJ
