A 64-year-old widower was stabbed to death around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, at Purok Kawayan, located in Cadiz City’s Barangay Luna.

Cadiz City Police Station OIC chief, Police Major Rocky Desear, identified the victim as Ramon Castro of the said place.

Castro sustained stab wounds on the body and was brought to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic. He was declared dead-on-arrival by the attending physician.

Officers of the Cadiz City police, meanwhile, launched a manhunt operation against suspects 47-year-old Renaldo Aguire alias “Nonoy” and Generoso Borneo alias “Gener,” both residents of Barangay Luna’s Sitio Canibungan, who fled after the incident.

Police investigators said that the three were at a birthday party wherein the suspects allegedly ganged up on the victim.

Police are still investigating the motive of the incident./WDJ
