Iloilo City’s Jaro district recorded the highest number of coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, cases among the city’s seven districts from September to December 2020.

Data from Iloilo City COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center showed that Jaro has 968 COVID-19 cases on the said period.

Molo district came in second with 562 followed by La Paz with 411, Mandurriao with 394, City Proper with 365; Lapuz with 308; and Arevalo with  270 COVID-19 cases.

Data also showed a declining trend of the recorded cases since September.

Based on the record, a total of 1,214 cases were recorded for the whole month of September; 1,461 for October; 325 for November; and 278 for December.

Since its first recorded case in March until the end of 2020, the cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Iloilo City have reached 4,665 with 118 active cases left./WDJ
