Two municipalities in Negros Occidental are declared COVID-19 free as of December 26.
Based on records released by the Provincial Incident Management Team, these COVID-free towns are Don Salvador Benedicto and Pulupandan.
Twelve local government units (LGUs) have also recorded single-digit active COVID-19 cases. These LGUs are Cadiz with nine; Escalante and Valladolid with eight each; Hinoba-an, Murcia, and Toboso with seven; Pontevedra with six; Manapla with four; La Castellana, San Enrique, and Sipalay City with three; and Candoni with only one active case.
As of Sunday, December 27, Negros Occidental has a total of 6,340 COVID cases, of which 387 are currently tagged as active.
The province has also recorded 5,804 recoveries, while fatalities are currently at 146./DGB, WDJ
