Thirty seven personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) have already tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19.

NOCPPO deputy spokesperson, Police Lt. Abegail Donasco, said almost all of the cops who have tested positive have already recovered. A majority have also been tagged as asymptomatic and have not developed into severe cases.

Donasco said they are thankful that there are no more cops among their ranks that have lost their lives from the deadly disease.
