Bacolodnon boxer Ricky delos Santos aims to extend his winning ways when he faces former Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga in a closed-door boxing match on December 18 at the IPI Compound in Mandaue City in Cebu.

The Bacolod City-native will be heading to the match with a two-game winning run, both at the expense of Romeo Anselmo of Antique last year in Bacolod City.

The Davao City-native Barriga, on the other hand, will be stepping in the ring for the first time since 2018, where he suffered his first career defeat at the hands of Carlos Licona of the USA.

The 21-year-old Delos Santos will enter the match with 2-1-0 win-loss-draw ring record, while the 27-year-old Barriga has a 9-1-0 slate, with one victory by way of knockout.

This is the second bubble boxing event by Cebu City-based Omega Sports and MTK Global. The first one was held last October 7 which was also the first time in the Philippines./ASC, WDJ
