NegOcc to donate P4M to typhoon victims

The provincial government of Negros Occidental is set to donate P4 million financial assistance for the typhoon victims in Luzon.

The financial assistance was approved during the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) meeting held at the Capitol Social Hall last Tuesday afternoon. The event was presided by Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

The provinces of Albay, Cagayan, Catanduanes, and Isabela which suffered heavily from floods caused by typhoons “Rolly” and “Ulysses” will each receive P1 million.

Meanwhile, the PDRRMC also approved the P156,520,000 worth of programs, projects, and activities to be funded under the 2021 PDRRM fund, which prioritized the necessary emergency preparedness and response programs.

The approved agenda will be endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan./DGB, WDJ
